Honor V20 vs Samsung Galaxy A8s vs Huawei Nova 4: Price, Specifications, Features Comparison

The mid-range Android smartphone segment is heating up. The Honor V20, Samsung Galaxy A8s, and the Huawei Nova 4 are powerful handsets.
The mid-range Android smartphone segment, once dominated by OnePlus, Xiaomi, Samsung, and a few other companies, now has several more competitors. Companies like Huawei and its majorly online sub-brand Honor, are clearly attempting to convince Indian smartphone buyers to seriously consider upgrading their handsets.
The recently launched Honor V20 sports a surprisingly aggressive price tag. The powerful Android smartphone benefits from several Huawei technologies. Meanwhile, Samsung revealed the Samsung Galaxy A8s. Competing against these handsets is the Huawei Nova 4. Interestingly, all the three smartphones sport the Punch Hole display design. Moreover, none of the handsets have officially arrived in India. But the companies would surely announce the availability soon. Today we compare these three capable Android smartphones that attempt to offer top-notch specifications and interesting features at an attractive price.
The Honor V20 launched yesterday in China. The device could launch in India soon. Honor is asking CNY 2,999 (INR 30,400 approx.) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant. The higher-end 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant of Honor V20 is available at CNY 3,499 (INR 35,500 approx.). Honor has also launched Moschcino Edition of the handset with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage that retails at CNY 3,999 (INR 40,600 approx.)
The Samsung Galaxy A8s also sports the same starting price of CNY 2,999 (INR 30,400 approx.) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant. The Korean tech giant hasn’t revealed the pricing of the 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant. The Galaxy A8s is listed for pre-orders on Samsung’s online store in China and JD.com.
The Huawei Nova 4 is the slightly costlier Android smartphone amongst the trio. Huawei is asking CNY 3,399 (INR 35,300 approx.) for the 48MP rear camera variant, and CNY 3,099 (INR 32,200 approx.) for the 20MP variant. This device too, is available for pre-orders in China.
The Honor V20 features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ TFT LCD display with 1080×2310 pixels resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Thanks to the Punch Hole display design, the latest Honor smartphone boasts of an impressive 91.82 percent screen to body ratio.
The Samsung Galaxy A8s has a very similar 6.4-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD Infinity-O display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, and display resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.
