The Huawei Nova 4 is the first handset from the company to feature an in-display camera and its other specifications tag the device as a premium one
The Huawei Nova 4 is the first device from the Chinese giant to feature a punch-hole camera display like the Galaxy A8s. What started with a notch from phone makers to increase the smartphone screen real estate was quickly followed by the teardrop notch and now, we’re greeted with an in-display camera to maximize that screen-to-body ratio. Currently, the technology where the front camera and other components can be completely hidden beneath the display does not exist but we won’t be surprised if the first devices bearing such a design will come up in the next couple of years.
The Nova 4 touts a large 6.4-inch IPS LCD screen with a 2,310 x 1,080 resolution. With an in-display camera at the front side, Huawei can afford to increase the screen size of its handsets without worrying too much about the footprint of the phone.
