The Pittsburgh Steelers must love the state of Michigan.
Former Michigan tight end Zach Gentry was taken by the Steelers in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL draft, No. 141 overall, on Saturday.
Gentry joins former teammate Devin Bush, who the Steelers traded up for in the first round to draft. The Steelers also drafted cornerback Justin Layne of Michigan State in Round 3.
This pick completes the Antonio Brown trade, as the pick was part of the deal that sent Brown to Oakland.
Gentry, who left U-M after his redshirt junior season, became the fifth Wolverine taken in this year’s draft.
The 6-foot-8,265-pound tight end was one of Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh’s first recruits, flipping his commitment from Texas to U-M in late January of 2015.
