‘Faster and smoother’ than ever before, OnePlus 7,7 Pro and 7 Pro 5G will arrive on 14 May, with the Pro model starting at €749. Here’s everything we know about the OnePlus 7.
The OnePlus 7 series of phones will launch at worldwide events on 14 May. The phone will be available in three variants: standard, Pro and Pro 5G.
CEO Pete Lau promises a fast and smooth experience – most likely a nod to the OnePlus 7 Pro’s anticipated 90Hz display refresh rate – and a beautiful new product design. It’s faster than even the Galaxy S10+.
We are expecting new colour gradients, with Mirror Grey, Almond and Nebula Blue options, and on the Pro model this will come along with a pop-up selfie camera, triple-lens rear camera and bezel-less, notch-free 6.5in AMOLED screen with in-display fingerprint sensor. This screen has been rated A+ grade by DisplayMate, and is certified HDR10+.
There’s also a triple-lens camera at the rear, with 3x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom.

OnePlus has confirmed that the new phones will launch at four events worldwide – three simultaneously on 14 May in London, New York and Bangalore, with a separate event in Beijing on 16 May:
The new OnePlus 7 models will be up for pre-order soon after, with a shipping date to be confirmed.
As with the last few OnePlus launches the events will be open to fans who purchase tickets – though unfortunately tickets have already sold out, so if you didn’t grab one already then you’re now out of luck. In previous years, attending has got you an exclusive goodie bag and early access to the pre-order of the devices.
If you can’t make it in person but want to watch the event online, it will be live streamed at 4pm UK time on 14 May via OnePlus’ website, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook channels.

The standard OnePlus 7 will likely come in at a very similar price to the OnePlus 6T, which starts at £499.
However, the Pro and Pro 5G versions will cost more. According to Ishan Agarwhal (via Android Central), an entry model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will retail at €749/759 in various European markets, with a 12GB RAM option costing €819/829. It’s not clear where his information comes from, though he has previously been a reliable source of leaks.
Earlier this year online retailer Giztop ‘leaked’ key details including the price and specs. We’re almost certain it’s pure speculation, especially since the OnePlus 7 comes in more than £70 cheaper than the OnePlus 6T, listed on the site at £426.75/US$569/€500.
