The mother of a 6-year-old girl died in a crash along Texas Highway 249 late Monday night, and the child’s father – who was driving – was charged with felony murder.
The girl’s father, identified as Eric Bahr, was driving southbound on the feeder road near Lakewood Crossing around 11:45 p.m. when he lost control and careened into a light pole, according to Harris County Sheriff’s Office Sgt.
