The iconic hitmaker was born Stevland Hardaway Morris in Saginaw, Michigan, in 1950 and his career as a musician began in 1961 when he was just 11 years old.
Wonnder’s decades-spanning career has cemented him as one of the most ubiquitous stars of our lifetime, selling over 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
Perhaps ironically, one of Wonder’s biggest hits is his version of “Happy Birthday,” making his voice an invited guest at millions of birthday parties every day, all over the world.
