Xiaomi has announced the launch of the Mi Box 4K in India priced at Rs 3,499. The Fire TV stick 4K is available in India at Rs 5,999. Both the devices aim to convert your TV into a smart TV.

The Xiaomi Mi Box 4K is priced at Rs 3,499 whereas the Fire TV Stick 4K is available at Rs 5,999. That’s Rs 2,500 difference between the price of the two devices. The Xiaomi Mi Box 4K has a 64-bit 2.0Ghz CPU, Mali 450 GPU at 750MHz,2GB DDR 3 RAM, and 8GB eMMC storage. The Fire TV Stick 4K, on the other hand, has a Quad-Core 1.7GHz CPU and 8 GB storage. There is no mention of RAM on the official website but information circulating the internet suggests that the Fire TV Stick has 1.5GB of RAM. The Fire TV Stick also comes with Bluetooth 5.0 + LE whereas the Mi Box 4K has Bluetooth 4.2.
The Mi Box 4K has access to the Google Play Store while the Fire TV Stick has access to its own app store. Both the streaming sticks have all the popular OTT platforms including Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Prime Video, Voot, Zee5, and many more. For the popular OTT platforms, it is clear that they are on par. However, the Fire TV Stick 4K supports Apple TV+ whereas the Mi Box 4K does not. It is one app, but if it is one you are looking at subscribing too or have a subscription of, then this is something you should know. The Google Play Store may have a larger catalogue of apps but sticking with the apps that one used with such a device including, Plex, internet browser, etc.
