Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter will finally reunite on screen in Bill & Ted Face The Music, the third film in their epic comedy sci-fi series, releasing in 2020.
Fans have been asking for another adventure from the time-traveling, death-defying, hard-rocking duo of William “Bill” S. Preston, Esq., and Ted “Theodore” Logan III — as played by Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves, respectively — ever since 1991’s Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey. More than 25 years later, that film is on its way to screens on August 21, 2020, when it’ll arrive under the title Bill & Ted Face the Music.
The latest update on the film offers up a new image of the title characters and their kids. Here’s everything we know about Bill & Ted Face the Music so far.
The first trailer for Bill & Ted Face the Music is here and, at the very least, the production value for the franchise has skyrocketed. This time, it looks like the Wyld Stallyns will time travel to the future to steal the music that united the world… from themselves!
Yes, you can be a most excellent part of Bill & Ted Face the Music. Screenwriter Ed Solomon posted to Twitter encouraging fans (and non-fans) to submit videos of themselves “rocking out” for a chance to appear in the final cut of the film.
The Bill & Ted Twitter account came to the aid of weary self-isolating people across the world during the COVID-19 pandemic with three excellent coloring pages. If that doesn’t build hype, what will?
In an interview with Empire Magazine, director Dean Parisot revealed that the time-traveling adventurers will only have 78 minutes to save the world.
“We’ve gone from a homework assignment to saving all space and time,” Parisot said. “We bypassed all those possible traumas in the middle. They have an hour and 18 minutes. So they’re in trouble. And let’s say that they have to travel all over the place to try and figure it out.”
Entertainment Weekly has the latest photo from Bill & Ted Face the Music and the time-traveling duo are dressed to impress. Both guys, now fathers, look like they may be attending a wedding? Check out the photo below:
In early January, Orion Pictures released a photo from the set of Bill & Ted Face the Music featuring the titular duo alongside their children, portrayed by Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving.
We got our first look at Bill & Ted Face the Music courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. Keanu Reeves’ Ted and Alex Winter’s Bill may look their age, but they still haven’t stopped trying to make their band, the Wyld Stallyns, a success in order to inspire a utopia in the future. They’re also working on another little challenge: Fatherhood.
Entertainment Weekly also released the first-ever look at Lundy-Paine and Weaving as their children.
Bill and Ted Face the Music screenwriter Ed Solomon has been a consistent source of peeks behind the camera during production on the film, and the latest update offers a look at the return of a fan-favorite character from Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey: Death.
