For the 14th consecutive night, protesters marched in Detroit to decry police brutality and call for racial justice.
Thursday’s demonstration in the wake of the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis drew roughly 150 people, a smaller crowd than recent nights.
Protesters set off from their daily meeting spot outside Detroit police headquarters and walked downtown, where they turned on Larned Street. The two-hour march took them east to Chene Street, then back downtown on Lafayette.
Along the way, protesters joined in unison for familiar chants of, “Say their name. Which one?” and “Hey hey.
