The X-Men spin-off is still planning a theatrical release in August 2020, and to rope people in, the cast and crew revealed the opening scene plus a brand new trailer full of villains, monsters, splashy power moments, and cast introductions. Watch it here.
The New Mutants still isn’t out, and it won’t be for at least another month, but during the movie’s Comic-Con@Home panel on Thursday, fans did get to see something new: The entire first scene of the movie and a new trailer. New Mutants opens with the familiar Marvel logo, before fading to a black screen while Danielle Moonstar (Blu Hunt) tells a story about how each person has two bears living inside them, one good and one evil — yes, it’s basically the story of the wolves but with bears instead. After the title card appears, we see Dani and her father escaping from their exploding cabin and rushing outside into the snow.
