Microsoft will launch its cloud streaming service, xCloud, in September, the company announced on Tuesday. It’s part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for “no additional cost.”
Microsoft’s Project xCloud, the game streaming service that was announced in 2018, will launch on Android devices on Sept.15, Microsoft announced Tuesday. As previously announced, xCloud will be bundled with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, a subscription that ties together Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass for console and PC. It’ll remain $14.99 for the service, even with the xCloud perk. This will give Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members access to “more than 100 games from the cloud” — if they use Android devices. xCloud will “began as a beta” as it “scale[s] to millions of players around the world,” according to the company.
