Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles headlines this week’s list of new Nintendo Switch eShop releases. Published on By Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition headlines this week’s list of new Nintendo Switch eShop releases. I remember the initial buzz of excitement when Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles was first announced for the GameCube. Finally! A brand new Final Fantasy game on a Nintendo console. And all you need to play it are four friends, four Game Boy Advance consoles, and four link cables. That excitement dissipated pretty quickly, let me tell you. (And to be clear, I had the friends.) Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition finally banishes that spaghetti of purple wires. The new version has the HD improvements you’d expect, and it supports online multiplayer. It doesn’t, however, feature local co-op like the original, which is kind of baffling. Hypnospace Outlaw, the hysterical 1990s internet browser simulator from Tendershoot, also comes to Switch this week. The game is compatible with mouse and keyboard, which is a welcome surprise, and you can surf a few pages in advance by downloading the free eShop demo. Another game that pokes fun at the conventions of its medium is Moon, the beloved ‘anti-RPG’ designed by Yoshiro Kimura. The PlayStation classic comes to Switch with an English localisation that includes contributions from video game poet, Tim Rogers. Our final pick is Windbound, a beautiful survival and exploration game from 5Lives Studios. We’ll have a review later this week. Other new Nintendo Switch releases include Jump Force: Deluxe Edition, Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars, and Heroes Hours Contract. We’ll keep this list updated throughout the week with any late additions. Playing games on a big console? Catch up with the week’s new Xbox One and PlayStation 4 releases.
