Federal officials at the Bureau of Land Management Utah reported late Saturday the 11-foot, shiny object discovered by state workers counting sheep from a helicopter, was removed sometime on the day after Thanksgiving. “We have received credible reports that the illegally installed structure, referred to as the “monolith” has been removed from Bureau of Land Management (BLM) public lands by an unknown party,” the agency said in a tweet. The agency said that a “person or persons,” removed the object in the evening on November 27, adding, “The BLM did not remove the structure which is considered private property.
