Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear reported 2,946 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases in the commonwealth to 227,818. There were 15 deaths reported Tuesday, increasing Kentucky’s coronavirus death toll to 2,239. The number of people currently hospitalized is 1,788 and there are 438 people in intensive care units and 246 on ventilators as of Tuesday. The state’s positivity rate is 8.
