A fugitive has been killed during a shootout with U.S. marshals who were trying to detain him in the Bronx area of New York. At least two marshals sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the shootout in the early hours of Friday morning on Ely Avenue in the Wakefield section of The Bronx, according to WABC. The marshals were attempting to apprehend 35-year-old Andre Sterling, wanted in connection with the shooting of a Massachusetts state trooper, who was struck in the hand during a traffic stop on November 20. The suspect was killed after exchanging fire with the marshals.
