Massachusetts health officials on Sunday reported that more than 40,000 coronavirus vaccine doses were given in the state during the last day of vaccination data, as Phase 2 of the rollout ramps up with more priority groups eligible for the vaccines. The state Department of Public Health’s daily vaccination report on Sunday showed 1,413,889 total doses administered — 1,024,802 people who have received at least one dose and 389,087 people who have received both doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. That’s an increase of 40,983 doses from Saturday’s report, when the state had reported 1,000,734 total first doses and 372,172 total second doses.
