On CNN’s New Day Tuesday morning, anchor John Berman took on Fox News Channel’s top-rated prime time host Tucker Carlson, who on Monday night added to “a mountain of misinformation” about Covid-19 vaccines. “Why would this television character spend so much time on his show throwing shade at vaccines, feeding the fears of half of Republican men who say they do not plan to take it?” Recent polling shows Republicans are the cohort least likely to get vaccinated, compared to 70 percent of Democrats and 47 percent of Independents, who say they will get the vaccine when they’re eligible.
