Microsoft reportedly shelves Windows 10X, its Chrome OS competitor

Microsoft has reportedly delayed or canceled Windows 10X, the OS that was announced alongside the Surface Neo as a lighter version of Windows 10.

While it’s not clear if Microsoft has completely abandoned the project, it’s not arriving this year and the “ company has shifted resources to Windows 10 and 10X is on the back burner,” according to Petri’s sources.
