C had Michael Murray may be thinking twice about accepting his latest role as notorious serial killer Ted Bundy in the biopic, “American Boogeyman.” Since ScreenDaily announced the film in April, some people have expressed their distaste for the project via Twitter. Many of the tweets expressed frustration with actors who are celebrated for their good looks portraying Bundy. “ High School Musical ” heartthrob Zac Efron played the infamous murderer in 2019’s “ Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. ” One user tweeted, “reminder that Ted Bundy wasn’t some sexy man that women couldn’t resist he literally pretended to be injured and asked for help and women are f***ing kind and his victims should be remembered as kind people who weren’t just stupidly overwhelmed by his charm or some s**t.” Bundy often posed as a police officer, feigned an injury, or said he needed help loading items into his car to lure his victims away from crowded areas. “The ONLY Ted Bundy adjacent movie I am interested in is one which respectfully tells the life stories of these women and girls, humanizing them.” Others who Tweeted about the film have simply had enough with movies and television rehashing Bundy’s story.
