Vice President Kamala Harris Friday said the right to abortion is “nonnegotiable” even as the Supreme Court declined to put a stop to a Texas law that curtails abortions while allowing further litigation over the statute The Court ruled Friday that a lawsuit by abortion providers against Texas over its abortion law may proceed, despite arguments by Texas that the way the law was written made it so that parties could not sue against the law until it was enforced. “As far as I’m concerned, and as far as our administration is concerned, a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body is non-negotiable,” Harris said, claiming that the ruling is an “attempt to undo” precedent.
