Since crushing her role as Princess Diana of Wales in “Spencer,” Kristen Stewart has been busy planning her wedding, reuniting with former “Twilight” costars, and apparently conducting scientific experiments on synthetically-mutated bodies in a distant, disturbing future. Swapping evening gloves and pearls for scrubs and some kind of medical instrument, Stewart stars alongside Viggo Mortensen and Léa Seydoux in the creeptastic trailer for David Cronenberg’s new sci-fi horror film, “Crimes of the Future.” “It is time to stop seeing. It is time to stop speaking. It is time to listen,” a monotone voice repeats during the trailer as a woman watches a set reptilian robot arms alter the body of a man in an alien-like pod. Flashing between eerie medical instruments and a glowing mass of flesh that looks like something from the Upside Down in “Stranger Things,” the video eventually lands on a clip of a man with multiple ears attached to his head having his eyes and mouth sewn shut with black thread — nightmare fuel.
