In a piece she wrote for The Buffalo News in May 2021, Massey expressed her outrage over the fatal shooting of Marcques Robinson, a cousin of Erie County Legislator April Baskin.
“There needs to be extensive federal action/legislation to address all aspects of the issue,” Massey wrote.
