Ever since last week when it became clear that Speaker Pelosi was likely going to visit Taiwan at some point during her upcoming trip to Asia, there have been plenty of warnings from China that doing so could spark a conflict. As Jazz pointed out this morning, one of China’s best known nationalist commentators even suggested firing on Pelosi’s plane to discourage her from landing.
