Jets coach Robert Saleh said Monday there is a chance that quarterback Zach Wilson will be able to play in the team’s opener on Sunday against the Ravens.
“It’s possible,” Saleh said.
Wilson injured his knee on Aug. 12 in a preseason game against the Eagles and had surgery to repair a torn meniscus on Aug. 16. He also has a bone bruise in the knee. While the initial timeline for his return was 2-4 weeks, that was considered optimistic and the expectation has been that backup Joe Flacco would start Week 1.
“We put Zach through a workout today,” Saleh said.
