Flipkart and eDAO are bringing Flipverse, a virtual shopping experience on Metaverse: Here’s how that works

Flipkart is partnering with eDAO to introduce Flipverse, a digital store that will be existing on Metaverse and be accessible on FireDrops, which is Flipkart’s eCommerce platform. Here’s how the whole thing works.
Flipkart is spicing up the shopping experience for its users with the new Metaverse initiative. It is called Flipverse and is described as “a metaverse space where consumers can discover products in a photorealistic virtual destination and shop on Flipkart App”. So, even if you can check out products or say do window shopping, the final checking out process will be done through Flipkart only. The eCommerce giant has shaken hands with eDAO, a Polygon-incubated organization, for materializing this new platform. 
Flipverse UI also offers 2D static product catalogs but they would be exhibited in 3D-rendered store displays. You, the user will get to ‘walk’ around the store and browse. Besides products, Flipverse will also try to entice visitors with games, contests, launch events, mystery boxes, and feature drops. So, you see how this Web 3.0 interface differs from the much more traditional Web2.0 based Flipkart that we are used to.
Flipverse will be available on FireDrops, an eCommerce platform within Flipkart. Phase 1 of Flipverse is currently being rolled out on Android only. That means you can find it on the Flipkart app for Android or via web browsers.
