The fallout from Kanye West’s recent antisemitic rants keeps growing.
On Monday, multiple news outlets reported that famed talent agency CAA has dropped Ye, as he is now known.
The same day, film and TV studio MRC said it’s shelving a completed documentary on the rapper and Yeezy entrepreneur.
Executives Modi Wiczyk, Asif Satchu, and Scott Tenley said in a memo that “we cannot support any content that amplifies his platform,” Variety reported.
“Kanye is a producer and sampler of music,” the memo reads. “Last week he sampled and remixed a classic tune that has charted for over 3,000 years — the lie that Jews are evil and conspire to control the world for their own gain.”
“The silence from leaders and corporations when it comes to Kanye or antisemitism in general is dismaying but not surprising,” the memo continued. “What is new and sad, is the fear Jews have about speaking out in their own defense.”
The news comes after Ye posted an antisemitic message on Twitter earlier this month saying he was “going death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.
