Rivian Recalls Over 13,000 EVs Over Loose Fastener That May Affect Steering

Rivian on Friday announced a recall of nearly all vehicles it delivered to customers in order to resolve an issue with a loose fastener. The company said that the fastener which connects the vehicles’ front upper-control arm and steering knuckle may not be torqued enough, and could affect the ability to steer the vehicles. While no injuries have been reported, the company said that there have been seven reports potentially related to the issue.
Electric truck and SUV maker Rivian Automotive said Friday it is recalling almost all the vehicles it has delivered to customers in order to tighten a loose fastener that could potentially affect drivers’ ability to steer.
