Deck the halls with boughs of holly because Mariah Carey has declared that the countdown to Christmas is officially on.
In what has become something of an annual tradition for Carey fans, the multi-platinum singer took to social media to ring in the start of November.
To mark the date, Carey shared a video that begins with her sitting on an exercise bike decked out in a black catsuit and matching witch’s hat, cackling.
In a flash, a bat carrying a calendar marking the date November 1 flies across the screen. Suddenly Carey is transformed into her more familiar Christmas look of a velvet red outfit with fluffy white lining.
Sitting straddled across a reindeer, she lets out a delighted high pitched “It’s time!” showing off her trademark five-octave singing range against a snowy, festive backdrop.
Soon enough, the bells and drums of her classic festive hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” kick in, with Carey giving a wave to the camera as snow-covered Christmas trees and presents come into view in the wintry backdrop around her.
