Gov. Charlie Baker, who had a short run on Harvard’s hoop team, is reconnecting with his college career as the next president of the NCAA.
Gov. Charlie Baker, who had a short run on Harvard’s hoop team, is reconnecting with his college career as the next president of the NCAA.
The 6-foot, 6-inch former college forward, with modest stats, was also an all-conference player for Needham High School in the 1970s. Now he’s going national.
The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced today that Baker “will serve as the next NCAA President, assuming the role effective March 2023.”
The NCAA goes on to say: “Governor Baker’s appointment marks the culmination of a comprehensive and inclusive national search process.
