Redfall is an open-world FPS from the developers at Arkane Austin. While the game takes obvious inspiration from co-op shooters like Left 4 Dead and Payday 2, players should expect the wide-open level design for which the studio is known. Players must travel on foot through the town of Redfall while clearing out the vampires and cultists that have taken it.
Once players have unlocked a few fast travel points, it’s wise to use them liberally and avoid unwanted combat scenarios. The game does not pause regardless of playing single-player, so safe houses are the only places to take a breather and restock ammo/healing items.
