The Patriots are planning quite the homecoming for Tom Brady.
The recently retired quarterback, who spent the first 20 years of his career in New England, will be honored at the team’s home opener this season, Patriots owner Robert Kraft confirmed Thursday on NFL Network.
“I invited him back to be with us at the opening game and let the fans in New England thank him … it will be the beginning of many celebrations to honor Tom Brady,” Kraft said, according to ESPN.
The actual date and time of the game will be unveiled Thursday at 8 p.m. as part of the NFL’s schedule release.
