The third installment in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise added $60.5 million domestically from Friday to Sunday, a 49% decline from its premiere last weekend, which helped the film reach $213.2 million in domestic sales since it was released, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The foreign markets reportedly brought in an additional $91.9 million this weekend, most of which came from sales in China, bringing its international haul to $315.6 million.
The film’s second-weekend drop is much smaller than the drop many Marvel movies have faced recently, including the February release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which declined nearly 70% in its second weekend, the Hollywood Reporter noted.
