Conor McGregor mourns Sinead O’Connor’s death: ‘Voice of an angel’

Connor McGregor has joined in the mourning of Irish singer, Sinead O’Connor, who died at the age of 56 on Wednesday.

“The world has lost an artist with the voice of an Angel. Ireland has lost an iconic voice and one of our absolute finest, by a long shot. And I have lost a friend,” McGregor wrote on Twitter.
“Sinead’s music will live on and continue to inspire! Rest In Peace, Sinead you are home with your son I am sure.”
O’Connor, who is most widely known for her 1990 single ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ that went No. 1 around the world, sang during McGregor’s walkout at UFC 189 in Las Vegas in July 2015.
The Irish fighter reportedly developed a close friendship with the singer throughout his career.
