As of the next major Final Fantasy 14 patch, players can complete nearly everything in the Main Scenario of the critically-acclaimed MMORPG solo.
Final Fantasy 14 is expanding the Duty Support system to include every duty leading up to the Shadowbringers expansion. Once this feature is added in the next update, the story of Final Fantasy 14 will be almost completely soloable.
The Shadowbringers expansion introduced the Trust system, which allowed players to enter dungeons required to progress through the Main Scenario with a group of NPC allies, rather than real players. In Endwalker, it was renamed to the Duty Support system, and in subsequent patches, Final Fantasy 14 began adding the ability to complete older Main Scenario dungeons using these NPC allies.
In Growing Light, Final Fantasy 14’s next major content update scheduled for October, the Duty Support system is receiving another expansion that takes it all the way through Stormblood’s patch content.
