While USB-C ports bring with them the advantage of universal adaptability and higher data transfer and fast charging speeds, the base models of the iPhone 15 series may not reap the benefits.
A recent by report Apple researcher Majin Bu suggests the company will limit the iPhone 15 USB-C to USB 2.0 speeds. In other words, the USB-C port on the iPhone 15 could be similar to the prevailing Lightning Port. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro models could get the super-fast Thunderbolt USB-C Port, with speeds up to a massive 40Gbps, as suggested by an earlier leak.
