In a recent announcement at the 2023 Snapdragon Technology Summit in Hawaii, Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon X Elite processor, aiming at the ultra-thin laptop segment. This new chipset is poised to compete with Apple’s M-series, Intel Core, and AMD Ryzen, with Qualcomm highlighting its advantages in performance and energy efficiency. At the summit, the company also announced their latest flagship mobile chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The first wave of laptops powered by the Snapdragon X Elite is set to hit the market in mid-2024. Nine major PC manufacturers will integrate this chip into their products, including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Honor, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, Samsung, and Xiaomi.
