Travis King, the soldier who fled to North Korea in July before being expelled from the country last month, is reportedly facing multiple charges including desertion and possession of child sexual abuse material.Key Facts

The 23-year-old is facing eight separate changes, some of which could result in a prison sentence for the Army private, both Reuters and the Associated Press reported.

The military’s chargesheet reportedly alleges King intended to permanently stay away from service after leaving the Army in South Korea and notes he was “absent in desertion” till September 27 when he was finally expelled by North Korean officials.
