In the lead-up to the Oct. 27 release date for “1989 (Taylor’s Version),” Taylor Swift has been sprinkling her outfits with elements of the aesthetic that defined the original album’s era — think knee-high heeled boots, ladylike handbags and plenty of pale blue.
This is nothing new for the singer-songwriter; as Swifties know all too well, the singer-songwriter has long made a habit out of dropping clues about her music and even her romantic relationships with her style selections.
“Easter eggs can be left on clothing or jewelry,” Swift told Entertainment Weekly in 2019. “This is one of my favorite ways to do this, because you wear something that foreshadows something else, and people don’t really usually find out this one immediately. But they know you’re probably sending a message — they’ll figure it out in time.
