Installing the Schlage Encode lever was easy. If replacing an average dumb doorhandle takes about five or ten minutes, you can expect this Schlage lever to take you about 15. 
The only difference between the Schlage Encode lever and a conventional door handle during installation is the smart component, which means you need to thread the wires carefully and install batteries, then set it up on the app.
