Former child actor Evan Ellingson has passed away at the age of 35.
TMZ reports that the actor was found dead in his home in Fontana, California, on Sunday (Nov. 5). The coroner’s office claimed that there were no signs of foul play.
Ellingson’s father told TMZ that the former actor was staying in a sober-living home after struggling with substance abuse. The actor’s death came as a surprise for the family, who said Ellingson had been “doing better” recently.
Ellingson got his start in acting in 2001 when he landed his first role on General Hospital. He soon had a brief, recurring role on the show Titus.
The actor forged a successful career in television with other appearances in Complete Savages, Bones, 24, and more titles.
