Apple Plans To Stop Attempts To Bring iMessage To Android

Several companies have tried, but Apple says it plans to ‘make updates in the future to protect our users.’
It sounds like Apple plans to put a stop to any third-party apps that try to make iMessage work outside of Apple’s ecosystem.
On Tuesday, a new app called Beeper launched on Android. The app was the latest attempt to bring iMessage capabilities to Android users making their messages come through to friends as if they were sent from an iPhone rather than an Android device. You may remember another app, Sunbird, that launched and then paused its beta last month.
Beeper was shut down a little over a day after its launch, and now Apple has released a statement suggesting that it has no intention of allowing the app, or any like it, to work.
