The Biden administration has declined to overturn an import ban on the newest Apple Watches.
At issue is a patent infringement case between Apple and medical tech company Masimo. The US Trade Representative had until Dec. 25 to veto an International Trade Commission (ITC) ruling that sided with Masimo, but “after careful consultations, Ambassador [Katherine] Tai decided not to reverse the ITC’s determination and the ITC’s decision became final on December 26, 2023,” the agency said an a statement.
