‘American Idol’ alum Alex Miller released a statement because he was involved in a car accident that resulted in one fatality.
Country music singer and American Idol star Alex Miller was involved in a fatal car accident in Kentucky earlier this week. According to a statement from the singer, Miller and his band were left uninjured, but the driver of the other vehicle involved died as a result of the accident.
Kentucky State Police announced Wednesday (Feb. 14) that they responded to a two-vehicle collision in Rockcastle County. According to a release from the police, 53-year-old local James M. Mcpheron lost control of his vehicle and swerved into the path of Miller’s tour bus, which was operated by 43-year-old Roger D. Miller.
Mcpheron was transported to the local hospital, where he later died of his injuries.
Miller’s team shared a statement to his social media addressing the incident.
“While traveling back from a vacation, country recording star Alex Miller and several members of his band were on a bus that was hit by a car,” the statement reads.
