In the latest beta version of the Google Search app, the company has moved closer to launching its Gemini chatbot on tablets.

When we decompile these files (called APKs, in the case of Android apps), we’re able to see various lines of code within that hint at possible future features. Keep in mind that Google may or may not ever ship these features, and our interpretation of what they are may be imperfect. Since its launch, Gemini’s Android experience has only been available on select devices, none of which are tablets. The exclusion particularly made sense in light of Google’s Pixel Tablet hardware, as it’s intended to effectively double as an Assistant smart display.
