Former President Donald Trump could face a gauntlet of former associates at his hush money trial in Manhattan, the New York judge overseeing the case said Monday, including former attorneys Michael Cohen and Rudy Giuliani, as well as former White House staff such as strategist Steve Bannon and aide Hope Hicks, and former adult film star Stormy Daniels, the woman at the center of the case.Key Facts
New York Judge Juan Merchan provided the names of over 40 potential witnesses in the trial, where Trump faces 34 felony charges for allegedly falsifying business records over hush money payments to Daniels ahead of the 2016 election.
Those potential witnesses also included members of Trump’s family, including his adult children Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump, as well as his wife Melania Trump and Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump’s husband.
Among the other potential witnesses were former Trump Organization executives Jeff McConney and Allen Weisselberg, as well as model Karen McDougal—who also said she received a hush money payment for an alleged affair with Trump—and former American Media CEO David Pecker.
