MSNBC Legal Analyst Says Trump Conviction Likely In Hush Money Trial: ‘It’s A Common Sense Case’

“We’re talking about a guy who watched every penny. Do you really think he would have been cool with all this money going out of his account without knowing it? Of course not. It’s a common sense case.”
MSNBC legal analyst Neal Katyal said Sunday that former President Donald Trump faces likely conviction in the New York hush money case. “I suspect it’s going to be successful,” he said on Inside with Jen Psaki.
“We’re talking about a guy, Donald Trump, who watched every penny,” Katyal said. “Do you really think he would have been cool with all this money going out of his account without knowing it? Of course not. It’s a common sense case.”
The case, which heads into its final days this week after a month of testimony from nearly two dozen witnesses, could bring jury deliberations and a verdict within days: a Trump conviction on charges of falsifying business documents, an acquittal, or a mistrial.
