Other stories include the attempted extradition from London of an Israeli private investigator who has been working with a prominent Washington D.C. lobbying firm, the paper reports.USA Today
This paper’s front page has a report on the first incoming heatwave of the year, which is expected to spread across western states in the next few days. Forecasters predict the temperatures to be ‘life-threatening’ in California, Arizona and Nevada, as temperatures in Phoenix and Las Vegas could reach 111 degrees by the end of the week. The paper’s other prominent article is a report on San Francisco’s Managed Alcohol Program initiative or MAP, which targets the city’s homeless with alcohol addiction issues by housing them and giving them small amounts of alcohol to ease their addiction.
