The former Trump Organization executive was freed after serving a sentence of 100 days.
Former Trump Organization executive Allen Weisselberg was released for the second time on Friday from New York City’s Rikers Island jail after serving time for felony perjury, according to the city’s Department of Corrections records.
Weisselberg, the ex-chief financial officer of the Trump Organization and decades-long ally of former president Donald Trump, pleaded guilty in March to two counts of lying under oath during his testimony in Trump’s civil business fraud trial earlier this year.
In February, after two and a half months of trial in a case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron found the former president and other individuals affiliated with the organization, including Weisselberg, guilty of lying about financial statements and conspiracy to commit insurance fraud.
