Reporters in Venice asked Jolie how her personal life influenced her role in “Maria,” in which she plays opera singer Maria Callas, who was scrutinized by paparazzi, to which Jolie said, “There’s a lot I won’t say in this room that you probably know and assume”—which some interpreted as a reference to her divorce.
In a Hollywood Reporter interview Friday, Jolie said “no” when asked if she could discuss the status of her divorce, though she said she’s “trying to get used to what to share” about her private life.
