R.I.P. Patti Yasutake: 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' and 'Beef' actor dead at 70

‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ and ‘Beef’ actor Patti Yasutake died on Aug. 5 at age 70.
Star Trek: The Next Generation and Beef alum Patti Yasutake died on Monday (Aug. 5) following a battle with cancer, Deadline reports. She was 70.
Kyle Fritz, the late actress’ manager and friend, informed the outlet that Yasutake was surrounded by her loved ones. He also issued a statement to Variety, sharing that Yasutake “was [his] first client when [he] began over 30 years ago.”
“We enjoyed every day we got to work together, and I will miss her spirit talent and tenacity but most of all her friendship,” he added.

One of Yasutake’s most recent credits was Beef, the Emmy award-winning Netflix anthology series, in which she portrayed Fumi Nakai.
